The Trust Collection
The Trust is interested in acquiring items that belonged to or were associated with Henry and William Williams and their wives, Marianne and Jane. Items held by the Trust will in due course be displayed in the 'Retreat'.
We have also been given some items from the second generation of the family, including Archdeacon Samuel Williams who founded Te Aute and Hukarere schools and Bishop Leonard Williams who was the second editor of the Williams Maori dictionary. These items, even the personal ones, help to flesh out the history of these important early pioneers.
If you have items you would like to give to the Trust and which come within our acquisition policy, please contact us.
